We met HE Saleumxay Kommasith, Deputy Prime Minister of the Lao PDR who was accompanied by HE Santiphab Phomvihane, Minister of Finance, HE Santisouk Simmalayong, Minister of Technology and Communications, and Vanthana Nolintha, Director General of the Investment Promotion and Management Committee of Laos.
Our discussions highlighted multiple tangible synergies between the UAE and Laos particularly in infrastructure development, clean and renewable energy, digital transformation and e-government, financial services, tourism and selectively governed mining projects.
The UAE’s capital depth, structuring expertise and institutional frameworks align well with Laos’ development priorities and long-term growth ambitions.
The discussion reinforced our joint commitment to move to concrete, lasting results and we look forward to progressing on a number of substantive initiatives.
