A truly memorable evening in Bangkok as Rotary Districts 3330, 3350, 3360 and 3370 arranged a splendid Rotary Foundation Night honouring the far-reaching impact of Rotary’s work. It was an occasion filled with camaraderie, inspiration and a deep appreciation for the tireless efforts of Rotarians across Thailand and the other countries covered by the Districts organising the event.
As a 40-year member of Rotary, it was a profound honour to be recognised personally as a senior donor to the Rotary Foundation by Trustee Chair and Past Rotary International President Mark Maloney and his wife Gay Maloney on stage at the start of the evening. Their dedication to the Rotary mission is inspiring and their presence underscored the global significance of the Rotary Foundation’s work.
The main focus of the event was to celebrate the transformative projects that Rotary clubs have been undertaking. From initiatives in education, healthcare, water sanitation and economic empowerment, the breadth and depth of impact were on full display. The detailed presentations outlining many community project achievements were a testament to Rotary’s enduring commitment to service above self.
The evening also provided a unique opportunity to connect with fellow Rotarians, exchange insights and reflect on the responsibility we all share in sustaining and expanding Rotary’s mission. The Rotary Foundation has been instrumental in funding global and local humanitarian efforts and it was humbling to witness firsthand the incredible work being undertaken.
Heartfelt thanks to all the Rotary Districts concerned, the organisers and all the Rotarians who continue to dedicate their time and resources to creating meaningful change. Events like these remind us why we serve - and why the work must continue.
